What I did:
This was a pretty typical Friday work day for me, and a chilly one (hence the outerwear photo) followed by a night in with Hubs.
What I wore:
I’m rocking my high waisted jeans and seafoam long sleeve sweater, along with a simple blush pink scarf.
This is a go-to casual outfit for me. This sweater is so soft and so warm and so cozy and…I mean, you get the picture. If I could live in this sweater during the cooler months, I probably would.
I’ve already blogged about my love of these high-waisted Levi’s here, but can I just reiterate how much I love these jeans? Just exactly the right amount of stretch, enough space to fit my generous lower half, and they look great too!
I’m also a big fan of how the blush pink scarf really brought the springy feeling to this outfit.
What didn’t work:
Not gonna lie, I definitely had a moment where I was regretting the ballet flat moccasins, BUT, I had a plan. So, because I’m always cold, and because I’m secretly older than your great aunt at heart, I own nude knee-highs and nude ankle socks. Socks are absolutely essential forces in my chill-fighting army, and there’s always that little bit of transition time when it’s not quite warm enough to go sockless or not quite cold enough to pull out the wooly ones. I’m currently testing out these, and I’ve been pretty impressed so far. I’ll be testing them with dance shoes shortly, and I have high hopes for them!
2 days down, 8 to go! I’ve got lots more to show and say about the next outfits, so come back tomorrow for outfit 3!
